* Infinity Broadcasting Architect: The Lawrence Group   * Recently completed project Entertainment Projects: * Infinity Broadcasting Berto Center Fox Sportschannel Studios Harpo Studios Madame Tussauds Playboy Enterprises Six Flags Space Shuttle This high profile project, located in Chicago’s Prudential Towers, consisted of 30,000 square feet of tenant improvements on the ninth and eleventh floors. Project included new studios for CBS’s FM and AM stations, news room for WBBM AM 780 and office support space for the newly constructed high tech studios. A standalone 24/7 HVAC system was part of the scope for the new studios along with complicated electrical, mechanical, and acoustical systems. The project was very challenging for all of the team because of the abbreviated pre-construction time, thus the project was started with preliminary documents, which were completed during the construction of the project. This required intense coordination and constant communications between team members. The project was completed in four months, and within the owner’s budget. This was truly a team project and BABCO enjoyed working with the project architect / owners rep. - The Lawrence Group, the representatives from CBS radio, and their vendors The Harris Group who provided and installed the broadcasting equipment.
